Job summary

Pinsent Masons LLP is seeking a Privacy and AI Lawyer with around 3-5 PQE to provide practical, commercially focused advice across the firm, collaborating with the General Counsel’s Office, operations teams and client-facing lawyers worldwide.

You will join the Privacy and Data Team to support privacy, AI, data protection, confidentiality and non-personal data matters across UK and international matters, helping clients navigate regulatory developments and manage risk.

Qualifications

• 3–5 PQE in privacy and AI law.
• Qualified lawyer with practising certificate in the UK.
• Experience advising on privacy, data protection and AI risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing proactive legal support on privacy, data, artificial intelligence, confidentiality and non-personal data matters across the firm.
• Researching and advising on privacy, AI and data-related requirements affecting the firm and its activities.
• Drafting policies, notices and contractual clauses; delivering awareness sessions and training.
• Assisting with security incident assessments, breach notification and data subject rights responses.
• Reviewing client terms, projects and procurement for privacy/AI provisions and negotiating with clients and suppliers.
• Supporting audits of data protection and AI compliance and driving remedial actions.
