Job summary

Chase Portland Limited seeks an experienced Privacy and AI Lawyer to support a global data and privacy program. The role covers privacy, data protection, and AI risk considerations within commercial matters and client engagements.

The candidate will manage privacy notices, policies, risk assessments and supplier documentation, while staying abreast of evolving regulatory developments across privacy and AI.

Qualifications

• Legal degree with focus on privacy or data protection preferred.
• Qualifications in data protection or privacy (e.g., IAPP, ISEB) are advantageous.
• Commercial environment experience advising on privacy, AI and data issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide privacy, AI and data input into client questionnaires and bids.
• Carry out Privacy Impact Assessments and other data protection or AI risk assessments.
• Review and advise on privacy, AI and data provisions in client terms, projects and procurement arrangements, including negotiating provisions with clients and suppliers.
• Assist with security incident assessments, remediation and breach notification.
• Support audits of data protection and AI compliance, identifying risks and driving remedial action.
• Assist with data subject rights requests, including subject access requests.
• Draft policies, guidance, privacy notices and contractual clauses, and deliver awareness sessions and training.
