Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking a Prisoner Trainer/Mentor to support participants in custody as part of the CFO Evolution Programme. You will deliver a structured six-week course to small groups and provide tailored one-to-one support to prepare individuals for release and reduce reoffending.

The role involves working with prison staff and peer mentors, delivering goal-setting and relationship-building sessions, and maintaining accurate records. DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering structured sessions in group settings.
• Strong communication and ability to build trust.
• Understanding safeguarding principles (training provided).
• Confident using IT systems to manage participant data.
• Experience supporting offenders or marginalised groups within justice, training, or counselling settings.
• Able to work towards targets and performance expectations.
• Awareness of barriers faced by individuals in custody.
• Familiarity with prison environments and safeguarding considerations.

The Role:

We are looking for a Trainer who will support participants in custody as part of the Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme. In this role, you will deliver a structured six-week course to small groups, as well as provide tailored one-to-one support. Working closely with prison staff, facilitators, and peer mentors, you'll play a key part in preparing individuals for release, supporting rehabilitation, and reducing reoffending.
