Job summary

Turning Point is recruiting an Advanced Recovery Practitioner to join the RECONNECT team in Leicester, co-located at County Hall. You will support service users from custody to community, helping them engage in structured treatment and make housing and employment connections.

The role requires substance use treatment experience, risk management and excellent report writing. Travel to prisons is required; a driving licence and car are essential.

Qualifications

• Exceptional report writing and case notes
• Significant experience in substance use treatment and recovery
• Understanding of risk and risk management
• Desirable qualifications include RMN, Social Work or Psychology

Responsibilities

• Co-locate with RECONNECT at County Hall and manage a caseload
• Engage service users in structured treatment and resettle into the community
• Visit prisons to assess needs prior to release and ensure continuity of care
• Signpost and coordinate support with multi-agencies
• Attend meetings and share information with Turning Point team
• Advise RECONNECT colleagues on substance use and transfer cases when needed
• Prison vetting is required and travel is expected; driving licence/car essential
