Job summary

Practice Plus Group in Oakham is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team at HMP Stocken, a category C prison. You will work as part of a small pharmacy team alongside a Pharmacist and Dispenser to manage medicines and deliver patient-centred care.

The role involves medicines management, maintaining records to high standards, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, cost-effective prescribing. Induction, CPD support, and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD).
• Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
• Ideal applicants may have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centred care and respond to feedback, ensuring care is personalised.
• Maintain medicines management records and follow standard operating procedures.
• Deliver cost-effective prescribing within the Health in Justice medicines policy.
• Collaborate as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
