Job summary

HCRG Care Group is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical team at HMP Norwich, delivering safe, high-quality pharmaceutical services within a secure setting. You will support medicines management, assist cost-effective prescribing and provide pharmaceutical guidance to multidisciplinary colleagues.

Qualifications

• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
• Current GPhC registration
• Sound knowledge of medicines legislation and best practice
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and manage workload
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Motivation and professionalism in challenging environments

Responsibilities

• Deliver medicine management services across designated prison wings
• Ensure Patient Medication Records are accurate and maintained
• Provide pharmaceutical advice and respond to medicines-related enquiries
• Liaise with pharmacy and clinical teams to resolve supply issues
• Support education, induction and development of students and trainees
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates per procedures
• Process returned medications per local policies
• Undertake CPD to maintain competence and best practice
