Job summary

Practice Plus Group’s Health in Justice service is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for HMP Moorland. The role focuses on safe medicines management, accurate patient records, timely medicine administration, and cost-effective prescribing within a multidisciplinary team.

The post requires GPhC registration and post-qualification experience; shifts include weekends and bank holidays, with a supportive team of six. CPD and ongoing professional growth are encouraged.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent.
• General GCSE education or equivalent.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience.
• Able to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centred care, seeking and acting on patient feedback so care is personalised.
• Run a safe, secure medicines management service.
• Keep patient medical records to the agreed standard at all times.
• Follow standard operating procedures to a high standard.
• Deliver non-judgemental care within professional standards.
• Administer medicines in a timely way.
• Analyse cost-effective prescribing under the health in justice medicines policy.
• Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
