Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to work within the Prison service on a flexible, bank basis at HMP Portland.

You will provide medicines management, dispense prescriptions, supervise dispensary assistants, and perform stock control with SOP compliance.

This role requires NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent and GPhC registration; prison experience preferred; security vetting will be required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent required.
• GPhC registration as a pharmacy technician.
• Previous prison or mental health pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to work to SOPs and maintain high dispensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide medicines management service within prison.
• Dispense prescriptions and stock items, supervising dispensary staff.
• Undertake medicines reconciliation and stock control tasks.
• Perform final dispensing checks as accredited checking technician.
