Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker to join the developing pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be primarily based at HMP Castle Huntly, with duties across HMP Perth, HMP Bella CCU and the GP Out of Hours Service in Perth and Dundee as required.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the accurate and timely processing and supply of medicines.
• Supporting the ordering, receipt, storage and distribution of medicines and pharmaceutical stock.
• Participating in medicines stock control, including stock rotation and monitoring.
• Ordering and invoicing medicines and sundry items.
• Maintaining accurate records and complying with all relevant legislation, policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Contributing to the safe, efficient and effective delivery of pharmacy services to patients.
