Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team delivering patient-centred care on site within a prison setting. You will help ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy service, including stock control, ordering, receipt of goods, computer input and dispensing clinically screened prescriptions.

Ideally you will have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, but we will accept healthcare experience and support through NVQ L2 with Oxleas.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 preferred; applications from healthcare-experienced candidates willing to undertake NVQ L2 will be considered.
• On-site in prison setting with NHS involvement.
• Sponsorship information: We are currently unable to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this post.

Responsibilities

• Stock control including routine ordering, receipt of goods and storage of medicines.
• Dispense clinically screened prescriptions and dispense weekly/monthly in-possession medication to patients.
