Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Painter/Decorator for HMP Liverpool, delivering high-quality painting across a secure prison environment. You will support a safe, well-presented facility and mentor prisoners through Amey's CRED programme.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating and experience in similar environments. DBS and Prison Security Clearance are mandatory, with weekend rota duties and a 15% allowance on basic pay.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating (essential).
• Experience in painting and decorating within secure environments is desirable.
• Ability to work in a supervised, secure setting and follow HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality planned and reactive painting and decorating work across a busy prison environment.
• Maintain safe and secure facilities to support prison operations.
• Ensure tools, materials and equipment are stored and used responsibly.
• Work to health, safety and compliance requirements for safe outcomes.
• Support prisoners undertaking painting activities through Amey's CRED programme.
• Share knowledge and trade expertise to contribute to a positive team culture.
