Job summary

Doctorpa Secure Ltd. is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in a secure prison environment.

You will deliver high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population, focusing on reducing health inequalities and ensuring continuity of care within a challenging setting. The role requires an fully qualified GP with GMC registration, experience in primary care, and strong safeguarding and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Experience in primary care with sound clinical decision-making.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to work in secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide full GP services including consultations, assessments, diagnosis, treatment and referrals.
• Manage chronic diseases, acute presentations and mental health conditions.
• Contribute to substance misuse management and detox pathways.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, mental health professionals, pharmacists and external providers.
• Participate in audits, risk assessments and safeguarding processes.
• Maintain clinical records using prison electronic health record system.
• Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
