Job summary

DrPA Secure is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary healthcare team in a secure prison environment in the United Kingdom. You will deliver high‑quality primary care to a diverse patient population and contribute to continuous service improvement.

The role requires GMC registration, Performers list, and substantial experience in primary care, with strong safeguarding and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team within secure settings.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Performers list registration.
• Experience in primary care with sound clinical decision‑making.
• Strong safeguarding, confidentiality, and secure environment delivery.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full GP services including consultations, assessments, treatment, and referrals.
• Manage chronic diseases, acute presentations, and mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, mental health professionals, pharmacists and external providers.
• Participate in clinical audits, risk assessments and safeguarding processes.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical records in the prison EHR.
