Job summary

DrPA Secure in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team within a secure prison environment. You will deliver high-quality primary care services to a diverse patient population.

The role requires GMC registration, performers list, and experience in primary care, safeguarding, and working in secure settings. You will work with nursing staff, mental health colleagues, and external providers to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and licence to practise.

• Experience in primary care with safeguarding and secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide full GP services including consultations, assessments, diagnosis and referrals.
• Manage chronic diseases, acute presentations, and mental health conditions.
• Contribute to substance misuse management and detox pathways.
• Collaborate with nursing, mental health professionals, pharmacists and external providers.
• Participate in audits, risk assessments and safeguarding processes.
• Maintain clinical records using the prison EHR system.
• Support quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
