Amey is recruiting a Painter/Decorator for HMP Frankland in Durham, offering a 39-hour week and salary £28,792 - £33,532 per year. The role involves prison-site painting, safety compliance, and mentoring prisoners through Amey's CRED programme.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 in Painting and Decorating (Level 2 considered) and experience in commercial, industrial or facilities management settings. The role includes weekend shifts and 15% pay supplement where applicable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Painting and Decorating is required; Level 2 considered.
• Experience painting and decorating in commercial, industrial or facilities management environments.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality planned and reactive painting and decorating works across the prison estate.
• Maintain safe, clean and professional environments for staff, visitors and prisoners.
• Care, maintenance and safe use of tools, equipment and materials.
• Work in line with Health & Safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
• Mentor prisoners through Amey's CRED programme to develop practical skills and confidence.
