Job summary

Get Set UK, part of Palladium, is recruiting a Careers Information, Advice and Guidance Advisor for prison services. You'll help people in custody understand their skills and make realistic plans for employment, training or education after release.

You will manage a caseload, deliver one-to-one guidance and practical workshops, create action plans, and maintain accurate records within a secure custodial environment, where safeguarding and professional boundaries matter.

Qualifications

• Experience in careers guidance or employability coaching or rehabilitation support.
• Evidence of delivering group workshops, learning sessions or similar structured activities.
• Evidence of managing competing priorities and maintaining accurate records.
• Evidence of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one careers guidance to individuals in custody.
• Deliver structured workshops on CVs, applications, interviews, financial awareness and digital skills.
• Create action plans and maintain accurate case records to track progress.
• Collaborate with prison staff, training providers and employers to support progression beyond custody.
