Job summary

Get Set UK is recruiting a CIAG Advisor for prison services to provide practical careers guidance and tailored support inside a custodial environment. You will manage a caseload, run one-to-one sessions and deliver focused workshops to help detainees develop realistic post-release plans.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, professional boundaries and accurate record-keeping, with a focus on achieving outcomes and progression for participants in collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in careers guidance or rehabilitation support.
• Proven delivery of group workshops or learning sessions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Experience handling sensitive information with safeguarding priorities.

Responsibilities

• Help people recognise transferable skills and plan realistic opportunities.
• Provide one-to-one guidance to explore barriers and aspirations and create practical action plans.
• Deliver structured workshops on CVs, applications, interviews, and digital skills.
• Maintain case records and evidence, working toward agreed outcomes and targets.
• Collaborate with prison staff, training providers and employers to support progression beyond custody.
