Job summary

Purchaseyourfreedom is seeking a dedicated Careers Information Advice and Guidance Advisor (CIAG) to support prisoners in custody with tailored career advice, guidance, and learning plans for successful reintegration.

You will conduct one-to-one sessions and group workshops, organise employer connections, and manage caseloads to drive employment outcomes while adhering to safeguarding and DBS requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering guidance, support or advisory services to individuals
• Ability to assess individual needs and develop action plans to support progression
• Experience of managing a caseload and working towards agreed targets or outcomes
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage, motivate and influence a diverse range of individuals
• Experience of working with individuals facing barriers to employment or education
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
• Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) qualification, or be willing to work towards this

Responsibilities

• Caseload management: conduct one-to-one assessments and develop Prisoner Learning Plans
• Facilitation: delivery of engaging sessions on employability and career planning
• Relationship Building: foster non-judgemental relationships and safe spaces
• Stakeholder management: engage with education departments, providers, employers and probation services
• Quality Recording: meet KPIs and QA standards
