Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team across HMP Norwich, HMP Bure and HMP Wayland. You will deliver low-intensity psychological therapies to residents, operating across multiple prison sites and reporting to the Senior PWP.

The role requires qualification as a PWP or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in step 2 interventions and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mental health practice and risk assessment techniques.
• Experience delivering evidence-based step 2 interventions.
• Experience delivering training and developing others.
• Ability to work autonomously in busy, secure environments.
• Local community experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct interventions to a defined caseload of service users.
• Conduct up to 5 contacts per day with residents.
• Work under supervision of a Psychological Therapist and report to Senior PWP.
• Travel independently across multiple prison sites and trust locations.
