Job summary

Rethink Mental Illness is recruiting a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the prison health service at HMP Hull, East Yorkshire. You will deliver low‑intensity CBT‑based interventions within an integrated stepped care model, contributing to recovery and wellbeing for prisoners.

You will assess referrals, support self‑management, and work with a multi‑disciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with appropriate accreditation.
• Experience in delivering IAPT low‑intensity interventions at Step 2.
• Knowledge of assessment, referral, and brief psychological therapies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage referrals, determine suitability, and plan care.
• Deliver low‑intensity interventions and CBT‑based support.
• Work with a multi‑disciplinary team and coordinate step‑up/step‑down care.
• Maintain clinical records, outcome measures, and data confidentiality.
• Support service performance targets and post‑release continuity of care.
