Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to support mental health services across HMP Norwich, HMP Bure and HMP Wayland. The role involves delivering low-intensity interventions within a multidisciplinary team and requires driving between sites to provide care.

The successful applicant will work autonomously within established guidelines, receiving supervision and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or equivalent experience and competencies.
• Ability to drive and travel between multiple prison locations.
• Strong risk assessment and managing complex mental health presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct interventions to a defined caseload within recognised guidelines.
• Carry out up to five contacts per day with residents across prisons.
• Work under supervision of a Psychological Therapist and report to Senior PWP.
