Job summary

Aspire Defence Services Limited (ADSL) is seeking a diligent Print Room Operator to join our high-volume Media Centre in Warminster. You will operate modern digital printing machinery for a range of materials, including books, posters, and displays for the British Army as a key client.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week with no weekends, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and a contributory pension. You will maintain equipment, monitor stock, and help ensure high-quality prints while

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on printing equipment to minimise downtime and malfunctions.
• Monitor stock levels of printing materials and advise ordering when needed.
• Maintain quality control measures to meet or exceed standards.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment with good communication.

Your Role:

• Working within a high-volume Media Centre that produces and prints a wide range of materials for the British Army as a key client, including books, flyers, posters, signage, large-format displays, photographic prints, and other operational and promotional communications.
• Operate modern digital printing machinery with precision, adjusting settings and conducting tests to produce high-quality prints.
• Manage the printing and cutting of materials efficiently, coordinating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Perform regular maintenance on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance, reducing downtime and minimising the risk of malfunctions.
• Monitor stock levels of printing materials and supplies advising LM to order as necessary.
• Maintain quality control measures throughout the printing process, ensuring that each print job meets or exceeds our quality standards.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, demonstrating politeness, respect, and effective communication with colleagues.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: A qualification in IT, Print or Production desirable but not essential.
• Experience: Prior experience in a production role would be beneficial, however full training will be provided if no previous industry experience. Strong attention to detail and computer literacy are essential.
• Skills: A willingness to learn and develop expertise in print production and finishing equipment. Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a positive attitude. Strong communication skills with a proactive, can-do approach, both independently and as part of a team.
• Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
