Job summary

Brook Street in Plymouth is seeking a DPPC Operator (Print & Dispatch) to support day‑to‑day production of around 4,000 documents per day, plus posters and large format work. You’ll operate printers and envelopers, perform quality checks and maintain records in a fast-paced environment.

Working to Health & Safety policies, you will manage consumables, carry out routine maintenance, and coordinate dispatch with third‑party suppliers to ensure timely delivery of outputs, while logging production

Responsibilities

• Produce daily print and dispatch output by operating and maintaining printers and envelopers.
• Carry out full print/dispatch room production tasks using manual and machine-assisted methods.
• Conduct regular quality checks during production and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Monitor and manage use of print room consumables.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment safe and reliable.
• Match documentation and insert it into envelopes accurately.
• Dispatch work via third-party suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Carry out fault diagnostics and repairs within training guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance and production statistics.
