Job summary

McKvr is seeking a reliable Print & Embroidery Operative to join our production team in Craigavon, United Kingdom. You will handle high-volume garment printing and operate single-head and multi-head embroidery machines, ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include setting up printing runs, mixing inks, calibrating equipment, and performing routine maintenance. You will also assist with packing and stock management, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace for peak production

Qualifications

  • 1+ years operating industrial printing or embroidery machinery.
  • Willing to train on multi-head machines.
  • Keen eye for alignment, colour matching, and stitching quality.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift boxes up to 15–20 kg.

Responsibilities

  • Print & Embroidery: manage garment printing and mass production.
  • Execute high-volume print runs (DTF, Vinyl Print, Heat Transfer).
  • Load, align, and unload garments at a fast pace with low error rates.
  • Mix inks, prepare transfer films, calibrate heating/curing equipment as needed.
  • Embroidery: set up, program, and operate single-head and multi-head machines.
  • Frame/hoop garments, thread needles, monitor tension for clean stitching.
  • Quality Control: inspect finished goods for print clarity and embroidery quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance, oiling, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Identify damaged sub-standard garments before packing.
  • Workflow & Stock: pick and stage plain garments, keep a clean workspace, assist with packing.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Print & Embroidery Operative to join our


production team. In this dual-function role, you will handle high-volume garment


printing and operate both single-head and multi-head embroidery machines. You will


play a crucial role in ensuring all decorated apparel meets our quality standards and


Key Responsibilities


  • Garment Printing & Mass Production

  • Execute high-volume print runs (DTF, Vinyl Print, or Heat Transfer) on

  • Load, align, and unload garments efficiently while maintaining fast pace


and low error rates.



  • Mix inks, prepare transfer films, and calibrate heating/curing equipment


as needed.


Embroidery Machine Operation


  • Set up, program, and operate single-head and multi-head industrial embroidery machines (Ricoma, SWF & Happy Japan).

  • Frame/hoop garments correctly, thread needles, and monitor tension to ensure clean stitching.

  • Select appropriate backings, toppings, and needles based on fabric


type and design requirements.



  • Quality Control & Maintenance.

  • Inspect finished goods for print clarity, thread tension, embroidery density, and correct logo placement.

  • Perform routine daily maintenance, oiling, and basic troubleshooting on machinery.

  • Identify and isolate damaged or sub-standard garments before packing.


Workflow & Stock Management


  • Pick and stage plain garments according to work orders.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

  • Assist with final trimming, folding, and packing for dispatch.


Requirements & Skills


  • Experience: 1+ years operating industrial printing or embroidery machinery


preferred, though strong technical aptitude with a willingness to train on multi-


head machines will be considered.



  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for alignment, colour matching, and stitching


quality.



  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive manual


tasks, and lift boxes up to 15–20 kg.



  • Work Ethic: Highly reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively under pressure during peak production periods.
