Job summary

The Workwear Co. in Belfast is seeking a Print Operative to operate DTF printers, vinyl cutters, and heat press equipment, and prepare artwork for print while ensuring high-quality output across garments.

This role provides full training in a fast-paced production environment, with opportunities to develop skills in garment printing, design software, and quality control.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a print production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential – full training provided.
  • Good eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Direct-to-Film (DTF) printers, vinyl cutters, and heat press equipment.
  • Set up and align artwork accurately for each job.
  • Ensure print quality and consistency meet company standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and meet daily output targets.
  • Prepare garments for print (positioning, pressing, finishing).
  • Troubleshoot basic machine issues and perform routine maintenance.
  • Work closely with the design, embroidery, and dispatch teams to meet deadlines.
  • Follow health & safety and quality control procedures at all times.
  • Experience with DTF, heat press, or garment printing.
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop/CorelDRAW or other design software skills.
  • Understanding of different fabric types and print techniques.

The Workwear Co. is Northern Ireland’s leading provider of customised workwear, PPE & promotional clothing. We operate in a fast-paced, high-output environment with in‑house embroidery and printing facilities, supplying thousands of garments weekly to customers across the UK and Ireland.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Print Operative to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating printing machinery (DTF, vinyl, heat press, etc.), preparing artwork for print, and ensuring high-quality output across all printed garments

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain Direct-to-Film (DTF) printers, vinyl cutters, and heat press equipment.
