Matchtech Group in Leeds, on behalf of a leading design and engineering consultancy, is seeking a Principal Wastewater Modeller to join their Water department. You will lead modelling projects, oversee technical delivery, and mentor a team of modellers to ensure high-quality outcomes on complex urban drainage schemes.

You will work on feasibility studies, model building, and surface water management plans, while engaging with clients’ technical teams to secure projects.

Formación

• Experience leading modelling teams and delivering projects on time.
• Strong water quality modelling knowledge is advantageous.
• Proficiency with GIS tools and urban drainage knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver modelling work focusing on technical delivery and programme management.
• Lead a team of junior modellers and provide guidance and training.
• Engage with clients' technical teams to ensure project success.
• Develop innovative modelling tools and processes.
• Ensure QA/QC across project deliverables.

Our client, a leading design and engineering consultancy, is currently seeking a Principal Wastewater Modeller to join their Water department in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering a programme of modelling work with a focus on technical delivery, cost and programme management
• Leading a team of junior modellers and providing technical guidance, support, and training
• Working on diverse projects, including feasibility studies, model building, and surface water management plans
• Engaging with clients' technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Developing innovative modelling tools and processes
• Ensuring quality assurance and control across all project deliverables

Job Requirements

• Experience using Infoworks ICM
• Water quality modelling and/or undertaking UPM studies is advantageous
• Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS or Mapinfo
• Experience in managing projects and acting as a technical discipline lead
• Skills in managing modelling teams from a commercial/financial perspective
• Understanding of market trends and a keen interest in business development
• Chartered status with ICE or CIWEM
