Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Wastewater and Hydraulic Modeller based in Belfast to deliver high-quality urban drainage and wastewater projects using InfoWorks ICM. You will join a nationwide water team with opportunities for leadership and professional development.

You will work on major UK projects, support project delivery, review technical outputs, and contribute to business development while expanding your technical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree and chartered status or active progression toward a recognized charter with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM.
• Proven experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and ability to review others' outputs.
• Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and relevant British Standards is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for presenting and collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and enhance wastewater and urban drainage models using InfoWorks ICM.
• Contribute technical expertise across wastewater and drainage projects.
• Support team lead with day-to-day project delivery and review outputs.
• Apply independent engineering judgement and propose innovative solutions.
• Build client relationships and support project meetings; contribute to proposals.
• Promote learning and knowledge sharing within the team.

We are looking for a Wastewater and Hydraulic Modeller with strong InfoWorks ICM experience to help deliver high quality urban drainage and wastewater projects. This role gives you the chance to apply and grow your technical skills, contribute to project delivery and play an active part in a high performing national water team.
You will join an award winning network of over 350 water specialists across the UK, supported by our Global Water Team. You will work with major clients including Severn Trent, Welsh Water, Scottish Water Horizons and Southern Water, with real scope for progression as you develop technical capability and leadership skills.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

• A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed on your journey in pursuing qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM
• Able to demonstrate clear and successful experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and an ability to check the technical outputs of others prior to issue
• A good working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for the Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards
• Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills
