Job summary

La Fosse is seeking experienced programme leaders to mobilise and deliver major UK public sector programmes, spanning technology, operations, people and data.

You will navigate senior stakeholders, shape bid strategies, define governance, and ensure practical mobilisation and delivery outcomes across government outsourcing.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading complex programmes in government, defence, or outsourcing.
• Experience contributing to or leading major bids, procurements, transitions or mobilisations.
• Strong governance, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to lead programmes that combine technology and operational change.
• Proven track record delivering under high pressure and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobilisation and transition strategies for major UK public sector and government outsourcing opportunities.
• Define programme approaches, workstreams, governance structures, delivery plans, commercial models and transition roadmaps.
• Support strategic bids and help develop winning solutions for complex customer opportunities.
• Lead programmes spanning technology, operations, people, process and data transformation.
• Manage senior internal and customer stakeholders, typically at Director and Functional Lead level.
• Translate technical complexity into practical business and operational outcomes.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through mobilisation, transition and implementation activities.
• Own programme risks, dependencies, governance, readiness and delivery outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a growing Mobilisation, Transition and Transformation function, leading complex programmes across the UK public sector and government outsourcing landscape.

You’ll operate at the intersection of business growth, programme leadership and operational transformation. One day you may be shaping a winning bid strategy for a major government opportunity; the next, leading the mobilisation and delivery of a high-profile programme involving technology, operations, people, suppliers and customers.

The team is looking for experienced programme leaders who can confidently navigate both technical and non-technical environments, influence senior stakeholders, and create practical mobilisation strategies that translate into successful delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading mobilisation and transition strategies for major UK public sector and government outsourcing opportunities
• Defining programme approaches, workstreams, governance structures, delivery plans, commercial models and transition roadmaps
• Supporting strategic bids and helping develop winning solutions for complex customer opportunities
• Leading programmes spanning technology, operations, people, process and data transformation
• Managing senior internal and customer stakeholders, typically at Director and Functional Lead level

Key Skills/Experience Required

• Significant experience leading complex programmes within government, defence, regulated industries or outsourcing environments
• Experience contributing to or leading major bids, procurements, transitions or mobilisations
• Strong understanding of programme governance, planning, commercial management and stakeholder engagement
• The ability to lead programmes that combine technology and operational change
• Experience managing technical workstreams involving integrations, interfaces, enterprise architecture, platforms or complex technology transformation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• A track record of driving delivery in high-pressure, complex environments
