Job Description:

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer in the United Kingdom (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision.
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications.
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and develop plans for new designs.
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets.
• Apply knowledge of design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual.
• Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts.

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate has previous experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and is seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on existing solutions within the Traffic Signal Design industry.

Key requirements:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications.
• Familiarity with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking.
• Knowledge of LinSig 3.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
