Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer – United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, along with technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight on new product or service ideas and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Maintain good knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Undertake MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings is essential. The candidate should be seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role and bring a fresh perspective to Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
