Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate, drive solutions, and work closely with technical experts to make a significant impact. Be part of a high-performing team working on complex, critical infrastructure that connects and protects the nation's digital backbone 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations on complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, seeking to progress to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on existing solutions in Traffic Signal Design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
