Job summary

SES Engineering Services is seeking an Electrical Principal Technical Manager to join the SES South team, leading technically complex MEP projects across sectors. You will oversee design, governance, and technical execution from pre-contract through live delivery, providing strong leadership and accountability.

You will drive innovation, coach leaders, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure project success, while supporting bid work and continuous improvement across portfolios.

• Proven technical leadership with accountability for Electrical (and wider MEP) engineering services on complex, high-profile projects.
• End-to-end experience across work winning and live delivery, providing robust governance and technical excellence pre and post contract.
• Progressive mindset, bringing fresh ideas to raise standards across projects and portfolios.

• Be accountable for adherence to relevant design and engineering processes.
• Provide coaching to Preconstruction Leaders, Design Project Managers & Project Engineers.
• Lead design reviews and governance across a portfolio of projects.
• Support bid and work-winning activities alongside live delivery teams.

SES Engineering Services are looking for an Electrical Principal Technical Manager to join our SES South team focussing on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.

What You'll Be Doing

Our Principal Technical Managers are a valuable part of our business, and their role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership, management, governance and excellence for all engineering activities pre and post contract, across either a single large project or portfolio of projects.

As Our Principal Technical Manager, You Will

• Be accountable for adherence to relevant business processes, undertaking Design Reviews, coaching of MEP Designers & management of technical actions.
• Attendance, contribution & collaborationregarding: -‘Making a Great Start' & Strategy Presentations&IPD Workshops.
• Technical accountability for the mechanical engineering servicesfor the project.
• Accountability for technical assessment, coaching and development of Preconstruction Leaders, Design Project Managers & Project Managers & Engineers.

Given the nature of this position, you will be required to undergo a Basic/Standard/Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at offer stage
