Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc in the UK is seeking a Principal Technical Lead to oversee the engineering management and coherent system design for our Share Computing Environment. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team and work with programme managers to deliver robust solutions for maritime test and evaluation.

Essentially you will have a science or engineering degree, strong leadership skills, and proven experience in IT infrastructure, on-premise virtualization, and technical assurance.

Qualifications

• Requires a first degree in Science or Engineering with on-the-job experience.
• Leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams and provides technical leadership for delivery.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and virtualization, and technical assurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering management and coherent system design for the Share Computing Environment.
• Coordinate with programme managers and business leads to enable winning proposals and delivery.
• Provide technical oversight and assurance across design certifications, delivery plans, and documentation.
• Mentor and coach engineers to improve outputs and capabilities.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to shape requirements and solutions.
