£70,000 - £95,000 salary DOE + benefits

Our client is developing cutting-edge hybrid control and inverter systems that power everything from high-performance motorsport platforms to next-gen passenger EVs. We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead this innovative work.

This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex, high-impact systems at the forefront of electric propulsion technology. You will influence architecture, performance, and future developments within a growing engineering team.

In this role, you’ll:

• Lead the full systems V-cycle: from concept to production
• Own architecture, requirements (using tools like DOORS, Polarion), and functional safety (ISO26262)
• Drive model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink
• Mentor and guide a talented, small team and participate in recruitment and team growth
• Collaborate closely with controls, software, and hardware teams
