LMR Resourcing Limited invites applications for a Principal Structural Engineer on a contract basis with remote and hybrid working options. The role covers Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors, focusing on onshore foundations, pipe supports and platforms throughout design stages.

You will develop specifications, review calculations, and liaise with other disciplines while ensuring compliance with codes, client specs and safety guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• This role requires a degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering and Chartered status is preferred.
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy sectors or similar.
• Knowledge of Revit is essential for model reviews and design documentation.

Aufgaben

• Develop detailed engineering specifications and design documentation.
• Review and approve calculations, technical specifications, scope packages, and design drawings.
• Interface for Structural enquiries across concept, FEED and detailed design stages.
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with codes, client specs, safety and environmental guidelines.
• Provide technical input to tenders and proposals; support manpower planning.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation teams.
• Possibly provide client-facing technical advice on sites.

Principal Structural Engineer - Contract - Remote / Hybrid Working

Location: Remote / Hybrid Working

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors at all stages of engineering design.

The role requires strong knowledge of onshore energy sector related projects with knowledge covering, but not limited to, foundations, pipe supports and platforms among other things.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering specifications and design documentation.
• Review and approve calculations, technical specifications, scope packages, and design drawings.
• Acting as interface for Structural enquiries on current projects at concept, pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design stages.
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
• Ensure that engineering and design comply with project requirements, applicable codes, client specifications.
• Providing technical input to tenders and proposals as well as supporting manpower planning projections.
• Undertake engineering activities as required for studies and projects.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines such as process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation.
• Potentially Client facing work on sites providing technical advice and operational support.
• Develop technical documents and scope of work packages for projects.
• Review and approve design modifications and provide technical support ahead of construction.
• Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Liaising with Clients and managing their needs and expectations.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Must have a degree in Civil and / or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered status preferred but not essential.
• Must have proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy sectors or similar.
• Knowledge of Revit.
