Crouch Waterfall, a subsidiary of Vulcain Engineering Group, is seeking a Principal Civil & Structural Engineer to lead technical delivery across rail, bridges and civil structures from our Basingstoke office.

You will mentor engineers and technicians, review designs and calculations, plan programmes, manage resources, and engage clients to define scope and secure successful project delivery. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to progress within a growing SME.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with track record leading complex civil/structural projects.
• Experience delivering rail, bridges, and large-scale structures.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design review.
• Ability to mentor Engineers and Technicians.
• UK right to work and extensive UK project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of civil & structural projects including bridges and temporary works.
• Provide leadership to Engineers and Technicians with mentoring.
• Act as technical reviewer of designs and calculations.
• Undertake site inspections and prepare reports.
• Plan programmes, allocate resources and coordinate with senior leadership.
• Support commercial aspects including forecasting and invoicing.
• Engage with clients to define scope and ensure successful delivery.
• Contribute to tenders and fee proposals.
• Support business growth by developing client relationships.
