Job summary

Vulcain Engineering Group, via its Crouch Waterfall subsidiary, is expanding its UK geotechnical team in Bristol & Exeter. The Principal & Senior Geotechnical Engineer will own geotechnical projects, coordinate engineers and technicians, and work with senior leadership to deliver high-value designs for domestic and commercial structures, rail, bridges and temporary works.

You will mentor junior staff, engage with clients, and shape the growth of the business within a dynamic SME environment,

Qualifications

• Degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Extensive geotechnical engineering experience and leadership of technical scopes.
• Chartered status or near-chartered with recognised body.
• Experience on UK projects and familiarity with UK standards.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of geotechnical projects and approve designs for temporary and permanent works.
• Lead project delivery, manage priorities, programmes and quality.
• Coordinate engineers and technicians, provide direction and mentorship.
