Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd invites applications for a Principal Structural Engineer role to provide technical leadership across major projects in highly regulated environments. Lead multidisciplinary teams from concept through to completion, ensuring quality, safety and delivery excellence.

The role requires Chartered status, strong UK standards knowledge, and the ability to secure UK security clearance. A permanent, senior leadership position offering autonomy and strategic influence within the

Qualifications

Chartered Engineer status via IStructE or ICE.
UK structural design codes and standards knowledge.
Experience leading design teams in complex or regulated sectors.
Proficiency with structural analysis software.
Eligibility for UK Security Clearance and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the delivery of structural design across large projects or multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring quality, safety and programme are maintained.
Manage, mentor and develop teams of engineers, technicians and graduates, ensuring appropriate resourcing and technical support.
Review and approve structural outputs including calculations, drawings, reports, specifications and digital models, acting as a recognised technical authority.
Control budgets, programmes and change management while contributing to bids, fee proposals and technical scopes of work.
Promote safe design, buildable solutions, sustainability and continuous improvement while reporting progress and performance to senior leadership.
