Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer in Manchester. You will lead a team delivering complex structural design for energy, defence and critical infrastructure projects, from concept to construction, with client-facing responsibilities.

You will guide technical direction, ensure compliance with Eurocodes and industry standards, and collaborate across UK and international teams in a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
• Experience coordinating structural engineering design teams in a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex, multidisciplinary design packages.
• Provide technical leadership across concrete, steel, foundations and underground structures.
• Review reports, calculations and drawings to ensure programme, budget and quality targets.
• Mentor engineers and grow structural capability within the team.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
