Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect (SA) who will be responsible for the technology strategy and senior level relationships with our enterprise media customers, as well as thought leadership in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry, with a particular focus on Broadcast, Streaming and Media Supply Chain.
The AWS Solutions Architect (SA) is responsible for educating customers, partners, systems integrators, and strategic consultancies on emerging technologies and solutions that are transforming the M&E, Games and Sports industries. They help with hands-on architecture for real-life customer projects involving AWS services & Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/partner solutions. The SA builds and publishes content and collateral, and presents to customers in 1:1 and 1:many settings. They work with customers remotely and in person.

Key job responsibilities
You will be a subject matter expert on industry topics related to Media and Entertainment. You will anticipate future trends and identify applications of emerging technologies to reduce friction, eliminate waste, and re-invent consumer workflows. In addition you'll help drive thought leadership in our customers. You will deliver written and spoken communications to establish AWS as the public cloud of choice for media organizations looking to accelerate revenue growth and improve return on assets.

• Live event production on the AWS cloud
• Channel playout origination
• Master Control rooms
• Advertising signaling and insertion
• Distribution and monitoring
• Broadcast Headend
• Post production
• Media Archives and Asset Management
• Metadata Management
• Content QC, Localization and Preparation workflows
• Data Lakes & Data Science
• Content Monetization strategies
• Customer 360 and CDP
• Personalization

Strong verbal and written communications skills including fluent English as well as Japanese are basic requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent
- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent
- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
