Job summary

Retool Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to help customers harness Retool to build scalable, end‑to‑end solutions. You will work hands‑on building Retool apps, integrating the platform into customer stacks, and advising on best practices with system‑integration partners to expand value.

You’ll guide scope, estimates, and delivery for professional services, act as a trusted advisor, and shape new offerings in collaboration with partners and customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical, customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Customer Engineer, or Deployed Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with full-stack development, including SQL, JavaScript, APIs, and Python.
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
• Passion for leveraging technology to solve business problems creatively, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, translating customer requirements between business and technical teams to drive successful implementations.

Responsibilities

• Advise and implement full-stack solutions using Retool.
• Help our partners deliver best-in-class services to our customers, allowing us to efficiently scale the impact of our product.
• Develop new service offerings based on customer / market need.
• Assist with scoping, estimating, and selling professional services engagements.
• Be a thought partner to Retool customers to help them build out complex internal tools for new teams and use cases.
• Assist with partner enablement and certification.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to our customers.
• Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; contributing to the community’s knowledge base.
• Work collaboratively with very strong communications skills, especially in teaching complex concepts.
• Identify and proactively manage risk areas and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolution.
• Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third‑party partners.
