Job summary

Amentum is recruiting Senior and Principal Safety Case Engineers to join the Environment Business in the UK. The role focuses on safety analysis and safety case support across the lifecycle, including decommissioning and waste management projects for UK and international clients.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team, develop safety case strategies, and lead hazard studies. Travel to sites may be required, with hybrid roles based in Warrington, London or Harwell.

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience in nuclear safety case development.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
• proficient in Word, Excel and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide nuclear safety case support through full lifecycle.
• Plan and lead hazard identifications (HAZIDs/HAZOPs).
• Develop and implement safety case strategies.
• Deliver deterministic and probabilistic safety assessments.
• Prepare safety case documents and reports.
