  • Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and technical audits to assess maintenance quality and system condition
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for complex, recurring, or high-impact system faults
  • Leading structured root cause investigations and producing technical investigation reports
  • Protecting approved technical baselines and configuration integrity throughout the asset lifecycle
  • Mentoring senior engineers, project engineers, and technicians
  • Producing a monthly technical assurance report covering design status, test and acceptance activity, PMI outcomes, and technical risks

  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in electronic, telecommunications, radio, networking, systems, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • DMR Tier III, RF over Fibre, and DAS experience - all essential requirements for this role
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification (Black Hat or Blue Hat)
  • Demonstrable design authority experience - formal technical approval, independent design review, HLD/LLD sign-off, and system acceptance
  • Experience leading or approving FAT, SAT, site acceptance, integration, and commissioning testing
  • Complex fault diagnosis and structured root cause investigation experience
  • Deep expertise in at least two relevant technology domains with working breadth across integrated communications systems
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to meet nuclear site access requirements
Desirable Skills:
  • Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, or active progress toward professional registration
  • Previous experience on a nuclear licensed site or within major infrastructure or a similarly regulated environment
  • Relevant vendor certifications across radio, wireless, DAS, RFoF, networking, or unified communications
  • Configuration management, asset management, and obsolescence planning experience
  • Formal systems engineering, requirements traceability, verification and validation experience
Benefits:
