Job Title: Engineer - Transport Projects

Warrington Borough Council is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our friendly and welcoming team. This role involves the technical design, procurement, and supervision of a wide range of engineering and sustainable travel projects within the borough, both on and off highway, promoted by the Council.

Role Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and delivery of multiple projects supporting the Council’s Local Transport Plan and capital investment programme.
2. Contribute to the technical design, procurement, and supervision of engineering projects.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain professional standards in a busy environment.
4. Travel around the borough as required, holding a valid driving license.
5. Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in highway design projects from concept to construction.
• Ability to work to high standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written in English.
• Driving license is essential.
