If you are interested in understanding how submarines operate and how the Royal Navy manages submarine operations, then this role is for you. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will assist System Engineers in influencing submarine systems and capability development. You will develop an understanding of submarine systems and ensure that system interactions consider Product Safety appropriately.
The role offers involvement in all aspects of safety management and safety case delivery, including safety requirements capture and management, hazard identification and analysis, hazard data management, application of the ALARP principle, creation/maintenance of safety documentation, and continuous improvement of the safety management system. This provides a broad overview of a complex system (submarine).
