If you are interested in understanding how submarines operate and how the Royal Navy manages submarine operations, then this role is for you. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will assist System Engineers in influencing submarine systems and capability development. You will develop an understanding of how submarine systems work together and ensure that system interactions consider Product Safety appropriately.
The role offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of safety management and safety case delivery, including safety requirements capture, hazard identification and analysis, hazard data management, application of the ALARP principle, creation and maintenance of safety documentation, and continuous improvement of the safety management system. This role provides a broad overview of a complex system (submarine).
