Job description

Job Title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness – hybrid and flexible working arrangements available; discuss options with your recruiter.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities
2. Mentoring and developing junior engineers
3. Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies
4. Developing and producing processes and policy documentation for the site

Your Skills and Experiences:

• Experience in explosion safety engineering and hazard analysis methods
• Experience in DSEAR risk assessment, hazard identification, and analysis (preferably in high hazard industries)
• Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and implementing business processes to meet strategic objectives
• Degree in a STEM discipline
• Experience with COMAH Safety Case support and Major Accident Hazards control
• Site Asset Protection and Fire Safety Engineering experience
