Job summary

Jobtailor in London is seeking a senior Java engineer to own scalable platform modernization and build end-to-end, high-availability systems capable of handling extreme traffic spikes.

You will design streaming and event-driven solutions, lead platform modernization initiatives, and advance production-grade software written in Java 17+. You should have deep experience with stream processing, gRPC, and AWS (EKS) for cloud-native operations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to reason about distributed systems tradeoffs.
• Experience writing production code for high-traffic systems at scale.
• Expertise in Java (17+) and the JVM.
• Deep experience with stream processing and event-driven architecture.
• Strong command of gRPC.
• Experience with AWS (EKS) and cloud-native operations.
