Job summary

Central Orthodontics Falkirk is inviting applications for a Specialist Orthodontist to join as Principal Specialist Orthodontist and Practice Clinical Lead. This dual role offers clinical freedom with patient care excellence and leadership responsibilities within a growing Portman Group practice.

The position blends NHS and private patient work on a self-employed basis, with a small portion of time (circa 6 hours per week) in an employed capacity.

Qualifications

• GDC Specialist Orthodontist with list number, potentially interested in associate or PCL opportunity.
• Keen interest in commercial/leadership side of practice and willingness to learn in a supportive environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and the ability to influence practice direction.
• Committed to high ethical standards and credibility in professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Act as a clinical leadership figure in the practice alongside the Practice Manager, with the ability to influence the direction of the practice.
• Provide clinical focus and maintaining clinical standards.
• With our support, define the practice ambition and strategy.
• Mentor others and give them a clinical voice.
• Act as a cultural ambassador for the Portman Group as well as the practice.
• Provide a positive influence to all practice colleagues to support engagement.
