Job summary

Mechancial Systems Engineer in radar development at Morson Group, contributing across the full lifecycle from requirements to integration and acceptance.

You will analyze performance data from models and real systems, designing sub-systems to meet functional goals and extending products to meet evolving requirements. Engage with stakeholders and lead system decomposition of requirements using DOORS Next and modelling tools.

Qualifications

• Expert in Mechanical and Systems Engineering with holistic problem solving
• Familiar with ISO/IEC standards relevant to systems engineering
• Experience in requirements management and configuration control
• Track record of leading large-scale, complex system designs
• Knowledge of lifecycle models and associated tools

Responsibilities

• Develop novel solutions for evolving technical challenges in phased array radar systems
• Conduct system design analysis to trade-off key parameters
• Provide guidance and act as technical authority for engineering domains
• Apply ISO 15288 principles to radar system design lifecycle
• Lead decomposition of requirements to system/sub-system level using approved tools
• Define verification/validation strategies to meet performance requirements
• Lead technical reviews and prepare design documentation
• Support cost estimates for engineering development
• Maintain MBSE, digital threads, and cybersecurity awareness
